What is a Passthrough Mapping?

Updated on

A Pass-thru mapping is a mapping of a source column to a target column without manipulating the data getting passed. For example, if you create a Pass-thru mapping from the source column of CIOrderId to Order ID in the target system, any data that comes into K3 under the column header CIOrderID will be "Passed Thru" to the column Order ID in the target system.

Field names do not need to match in Pass-through mappings, but the Source and Target Field data types must be compatible.
